Pay Attention to Payment Trends at Catalyst Corporate’s Inaugural Payments Forum

by Catalyst Corporate | May 22, 2018

There’s a new conference in town, and it’s designed specifically with the needs of credit union payment professionals in mind. Catalyst Corporate’s Payments Forum, one component of this year’s Future Forums, comprises two full days of dynamic speakers, hot-button topics and networking opportunities with credit union payment service peers.Header

The Payments Forum begins with a reception Tuesday evening, Oct. 2 and runs through Thursday afternoon, Oct. 4 at the Omni Hotel, adjacent to the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters in Frisco, Texas. And if two days of the latest payments and technology trends isn’t enough, participants are welcome to come a few days earlier for Catalyst Corporate’s 41st annual Economic Forum, which begins Monday, Oct. 1.

The Payments Forum portion of Future Forums includes presentations from:

  • Ryan Gaylor, Director, Corporate Payments, Ripple, “Realities of a Virtual Economy
  • Nell Campbell-Drake, VP of Payments, Atlanta Federal Reserve, “ISO 20022: Now and In the Future”
  • Dom Sagolla, co-creator of Twitter, “Finding Your Voice in the Short Form
  • Jane Larimer, COO of NACHA, “Positioning for Faster Payments”
  • Steve Turk, Managing Director, Transformational Initiatives, JP Morgan Chase, “Data Driven Innovation and Machine Learning”
  • David Austin, VP of Client Experience, LogicPath, “The Changing World of Cash & Payments”
  • Kirk Drake, Credit Union 2.0 Founder, “Connecting to Members in a Connected World
  • Jim Kasch, CEO of Canidae Consulting, ”Becoming Agents of Change”
  • Emmitt Smith, NFL all-time leading rusher, “Reaching the Goal Line

As well as panel discussions focusing on:

  • Branch Trends
  • Technology Challenges and Innovative Solutions

All Future Forums attendees are invited to attend a Tuesday evening reception at the hotel’s infinity pool deck for complimentary lite bites, drinks and a chance to meet and mingle with Catalyst staff and credit union peers. On Wednesday, Payments Forum participants will be wowed by magician Brian Henderson as he performs mind-blowing magic tricks and illuminating illusions beginning at 5 p.m. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres, drinks and magic demonstrations are included at that event, as well.

For participants interested in food, football, photo ops and fundraising, NFL superstar Emmitt Smith will join attendees at a buffet luncheon benefiting the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation, after his presentation on Wednesday morning. A photographer will be on hand to snap photos, and signed footballs will be up for auction, with proceeds going to the Foundation. This optional event costs $100 per person and is limited to the first 100 registrants.

Register for the Payments Forum by Sept. 11 for the Early Bird discounted registration fee of $525 – or $725 for the entire four-day Future Forums experience. Payments Forum attendees will receive up to 10 CPE credits in the economics, finance and communications/marketing fields of study.
