Catalyst Corporate’s 41st annual Economic Forum has a new lineup, a new look and a new location. The Economic Forum, part of this year’s expanded Future Forums format, comprises 2.5 days of strategic financial management insights, economic outlooks and networking opportunities with credit union peers.Header

The Economic Forum runs from Monday morning, Oct. 1 through midday Wednesday, Oct. 3 at the brand new Omni Hotel, adjacent to the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters in Frisco, Texas.

The Economic Forum portion of Future Forums includes presentations from:

On Monday, Oct. 1, experts from Catalyst Strategic Solutions will present two tracks of credit union-focused financial management education – one track designed especially for credit union volunteers; the other for credit union management and staff. Topics include:

  • Credit Union Trends and Critical Issues
  • How Market Changes Alter Earning Assets
  • Fiduciary Responsibilities of the Board of Directors
  • Does Member Behavior Impact Balance Sheets
  • Understanding ALM and Risk Reporting
  • Growth, Capital and Concentration Risk Management
  • Fundamentals of Liquidity Management

On Monday evening after a happy hour reception for all attendees and guests, Economic Forum participants may choose to attend a Monday Night Football Fan Extravaganza at the Dallas Cowboys practice facilities. Pre-registered attendees can take a VIP guided tour of the facilities, including the War Room, Nike Star Walk and Trophy Room. Cowboys Ring of Honor member Drew Pearson will host a meet-and-greet, and the event will include a buffet dinner and open bar. This event is $100 per person, and limited to the first 100 registrants.

On Tuesday evening, all Future Forums attendees and guests are invited to attend a complimentary reception at the hotel’s infinity pool deck for lite bites, drinks and a chance to meet and mingle with Catalyst staff and credit union peers.

NFL superstar Emmitt Smith will join attendees at a buffet luncheon benefiting the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation after his presentation on Wednesday morning. A photographer will be on hand to snap photos, and signed footballs will be up for auction, with proceeds going to the Foundation. This optional event costs $100 per person and is limited to the first 100 registrants.

And while your credit union is sure to benefit from 2.5 days of hard-hitting strategy-informing economic outlooks and balance sheet management tips, there’s more. Stay through Thursday, Oct. 4 to attend Catalyst Corporate’s brand new Payments Forum.

Register for the Economic Forum by Sept. 11 for the Early Bird discounted registration fee of $525 – or $725 for the entire four-day Future Forums experience. Economic Forum attendees will receive up to 14 CPE credits in the economics, finance and communications/marketing fields of study.
