Jim Kasch has been with credit unions more than 20 years. His roles ranged from teller to CEO. In 2015, Kasch established his own consultancy.

What lies ahead for credit unions in this changing economy? Steven Rick, chief economist for CUNA Mutual Group, speaks to recent economic developments in the economy. Rick will outline their implications for unemployment, inflation and GDP growth. He'll also put special emphasis on the consumer and credit union markets.

Rick's primary responsibilities at CMG include strategic research, analysis and forecasting with special emphasis on credit union markets. He publishes the Credit Union Trends Report, a monthly "pulse check" on the economic state of the credit union movement. Before joining CMG, he was senior economist for CUNA's Economic & Statistics Department for 22 years.

Houle is vice president of Catalyst Strategic Solutions' advisory service, managing the day-to-day operations of the department and its long-term strategic direction.
