CU Today’s Frank Diekmann to Serve as Virtual Forum Moderator

by Catalyst Corporate | Sep 15, 2020

With 10 presentations covering a wide variety of topics including the national economy, balance sheet management strategies, payment technology trends and the “membership economy,” a steady and respected credit union thought leader will be on board to help guide discussions toward maximum relevancy.

Frank Diekmann, editor and co-publisher of CU Today, will be the moderator at Catalyst Corporate’s virtual Economic & Payments Forum October 5-6.

Diekmann, an author and journalist, has had a hand in creating many of the leading credit union publications that have reported on the industry since 1990. He is the only journalist to graduate from the National Credit Union Foundation’s Development Education Program and is now certified as an International Credit Union Development Educator (I-CUDE). Diekmann also recently authored his fourth book entitled, 501 Name Tags: How Everything You Need to Know About Business Can Be Learned at a Conference & Forgotten in the Trade Show.

Diekmann will welcome well-regarded speakers, such as economist Bernard Baumohl, payment trends expert Jim Marous and Robbie Kellman Baxter, author of the Membership Economy.

Catalyst expertise will also be on display, with timely sessions on the following:

  • Economic Update & Industry Trends – Steven Houle, Vice President of Advisory Services
  • Managing Liquidity through Uncertain Times – Mark DeBree, Managing Principal
  • Secondary Capital: Does It Make Sense for your Credit Union? – Jonathan Jackson, Senior Advisor
  • Investment Opportunities & Strategies to Consider in the Current Market – John Kirby, Investment Officer
  • Finding Success in the Current Environment: A Risk/Reward Perspective – Aaron Martini, Director of ALM Services

Although the virtual format is different this year, the annual Economic & Payments Forum will provide the same industry leading insights it has over the past four decades. There is no charge to attend this event. Register today!
