Registration Opens for 2021 Economic & Payments Forum Hybrid Event

by Catalyst Corporate | Jun 08, 2021

Good news! Registration for Catalyst Corporate’s annual Economic & Payments Forum is now open.

The Forum, which will be held Monday, September 20 through Wednesday, September 22 is your credit union’s gateway to actionable insights from leading experts in the fields of economics and payments – information that credit unions can use to position for future success.

This year’s Forum theme – Embracing Transformation – underscores the rapid changes facing today’s financial services industry. But Forum does more than bring you face-to-face with challenges. It points your credit union toward solutions.

In addition to taking a long look at the U.S. economy and emerging payments trends, Forum presenters will dive deeper into the real estate market, inflation, interest rate risks, fraud trends, regulatory concerns and the rise of self-service banking.

Recent additions to the speaker line-up include:

  • Reed Luhtanen – Executive Director of the U.S. Faster Payments Council (FPC)
  • Lucy Ito – President/CEO for the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS)
  • James Robert Lay – Founder/CEO of Digital Growth Institute and author of Banking on Digital Growth

Previously scheduled presenters include author and economist Jason Schenker. A former guest host of Bloomberg TV and the founder of the Futurist Institute, Schenker has been ranked one of the most accurate financial forecasters.

Schenker will provide a macro-economic outlook based on the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, while long-time “Forum favorite” Bill Hampel will offer a more focused spotlight on how credit unions can position for success during the rebound. Former chief economist for the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), Hampel has shared his expertise at more than a dozen previous Forums.

As a hybrid event this year, you can choose to attend onsite or participate in an abbreviated version online. The onsite event will be held at the Renaissance Dallas/Plano Legacy West Hotel, adjacent to the vibrant Legacy West district – just steps from premium outdoor shopping and over a dozen restaurants.

More exciting details will take shape in the coming weeks! Check out the latest Forum developments – and register today – under Learning Center/Conferences on Catalyst Corporate’s website.
