Additional ACH File Delivery Begins September 12, 2022
Effective September 12, 2022, FedACH® Services will provide an additional ACH file delivery to all customers at 10:30 p.m. Central Time every Monday through Friday. The new distribution will include any ACH transactions received and processed after the prior transmission deadline and by the new transmission deadline of 9:45 p.m. CT. The later delivery is intended to accelerate the delivery of ACH transactions to receiving depository financial institutions (RDFI) who may wish to take advantage of the additional distribution.
RDFIs that choose to process these files earlier will be able to better reflect customer account balances; however, RDFIs will not be obligated to process the files received at the 10:30 p.m. CT distribution, and settlement for these items will not occur until 7:30 a.m. CT the following business day as indicated on the FedACH Processing Schedule.
No settlement will accompany the new file distribution, and there will be no additional advices delivered. In addition, no other ACH file distributions will be impacted by this change. As a result, the impact to customers is not expected to be significant.
