• What is TranzCapture?

  TranzCapture is Catalyst Corporate's remote deposit suite, a credit union-centric product backed by years of industry experience.

• Why is Catalyst Corporate making this change?

  Developing a suite of remote deposit services provides Catalyst Corporate and its member credit unions more control over features, development and costs, now and in the future. Catalyst Corporate has vast experience with remote deposit technology, service support and check processing. The business case is supported by a strong credit union network that generates a substantial volume of item processing.

• What enhancements can credit unions expect over existing branch, business, ATM and mobile platforms?

  TranzCapture is a true single-sign on application. Credit union staff and business members log in through TranZact. The administration module centralizes all deposit work for credit unions and offers a number of attractive new features and options, including:

  • Teller review of potential exception items or the option of bypassing the teller to send the item(s) to the Pending Approvals queue for back office review.
  • Use of Early Warning real-time fraud protection for all services within the suite, with the ability to select different dollar thresholds for each remote deposit service.
  • A new Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) service for video terminals.
  • The TranzCapture administration module allows credit unions to provide enterprise-wide access to their designated employees.

• So that I can plan my credit union’s resource allocation in the future, what estimated date will my credit union upgrade to TranzCapture?

  Catalyst Corporate will schedule transitions based on existing licensing agreements, products used and other factors. Catalyst will contact credit unions with their transition date.

• Will Catalyst Corporate assist my credit union in migrating our business members from thick client to thin client applications?

  TranzCapture is very intuitive, and the transition will be minimal. Catalyst Corporate’s training team has developed a quick guide that you may share with your business members.

• What are the implementation steps or project requirements to transition to Mobile Capture for my credit union?

  Catalyst Corporate's goal is to make all transitions as seamless as possible for credit unions. If your credit union currently uses Catalyst Corporate Mobile Capture, TranzCapture will have a different interface. Catalyst Corporate has supplied the mobile banking vendors the new format which will minimize the impact on members.

• What are the implementation steps or project requirements to transition to ATM Capture for my credit union?

  Users can expect minimal changes to the way ATM Capture operates.

• My credit union has not used Catalyst Corporate remote deposit services before. When can my credit union come on board and take advantage of this new suite of services?

  Catalyst Corporate is onboarding new credit unions along with current remote deposit users throughout 2017. All products are available.

• My credit union uses Catalyst Corporate’s Image Clear service. Will any changes be required for us to continue using this service?

  No changes are required; however, many additional features and controls included in the TranzCapture service suite are available to Image Clear users for a fee, such as Early Warning real-time fraud protection. Your credit union will also have additional capabilities for managing items, data and reports.

• A third-party provider has approached our credit union about accessing deposit services directly through them. When can you provide me pricing to compare to theirs for branch, teller, business, ATM and mobile?

• My credit union has some big initiatives planned for 2017, including a merger.

  Catalyst Corporate will work with your credit union on a plan that makes sense for you. It is our intention to migrate as many credit unions as possible in 2017.

• Will my credit union be able to continue using Early Warning Services?

  Yes. All products will integrate with EWS real-time and batch next-day services. The TranzCapture platform offers many enhancements to streamline and provide flexibility with different deposit channels. For example, new controls enable credit unions to set individual EWS dollar thresholds by product and to determine where approvals reside for branch capture items. In addition, EWS reporting for all deposit capture channels will be consolidated on a single report.

• Do I need to install any TranzCapture software?

  TranzCapture is a thin client application, with no software to install at your branches or business member sites. This simplifies deployment for credit unions. Credit unions will, however, need to download an updated driver – available at no charge and housed within the new administration module – that will enable your current scanner to work with TranzCapture.

• What products are included in the suite?

  The remote deposit suite includes branch, teller, ATM, business, mobile and interactive teller machine (ITM) applications.

• Will my members see a change?

  With the exception of Business Capture, the interfaces will all look the same.

• How does the security compare to existing service levels?

  Users can expect the same levels of security with TranzCapture as they do with other services provided by Catalyst Corporate.

• Who needs to be trained?

  Any employee who is responsible for capture, reconciling and approving deposits will be asked to participate in training. This includes TranZact administrators, Deposit Capture administrators, tellers and accounting staff.

• Will a demo be available?

  Catalyst Corporate will show how TranzCapture works during migration training.

• How do I access my RDS services through TranZact?

  Login through TranZact and select "Deposit Capture."

• Will my credit union receive training?

  Catalyst Corporate will provide in-depth training, via webinar, to assist credit unions with the transition to TranzCapture. Training will cover establishing branch and work station permissions, scanning and researching deposits. A webinar schedule is being developed to provide multiple dates and times to accommodate staff schedules and coast-to-coast time zones. The training schedule will be published well in advance of the transition to TranzCapture.
