Irina Panovska
Professor of Economics

Irina Panovska is a macroeconomist and an Associate Professor of Economics at the School of Economic, Political, and Policy Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas. Her research focuses on using economic data to model the macroeconomy, in particular on predicting economic recoveries and recoveries in labor markets. Irina has given talks and interviews about the state of the economy at various business leadership meetings and for various domestic and international news outlets.
In addition to her position at UT Dallas, she held visiting scholar positions in Australia and Croatia, and regularly serves as a professional mentor for junior female economists. She received her PhD in economics from Washington University in St. Louis in 2013.
