Steve is responsible for working with Catalyst Strategic Solutions’ client credit unions to analyze their balance sheets and identify areas of asset/liability management (ALM) risk and opportunity. Steve delivers comprehensive risk analysis, reporting, scenario testing, strategic planning and education to assist clients with their interest rate risk management and ALM process. These services help credit unions improve their ALM risk management practices and comply with rigorous regulatory requirements.
Steve's experience prior to joining Catalyst Corporate in April 2019 includes two years as a Senior ALM Consultant at Balance Sheet Solutions (Alloya Corporate FCU) and 11 years at Western Corporate FCU, where he held the positions of Senior Director Chief Interest Rate Risk Officer and Senior Interest Rate Risk Consultant. Steve also held ALM-related positions at Bank United and Los Angeles Police FCU.
Steve has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lamar University and holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
