Catalyst Strategic Solutions Speakers Set to Take the Stage at Forum

Catalyst Corporate’s 2023 Economic & Payments Forum speaker line-up is packed with sessions that run the gamut of topics relevant to your business success. Among other important topics, Catalyst Strategic Solutions professionals will host four sessions that target strategic financial management on September 18-20 in Plano, Texas.

Breakfast Breakout Sessions

On Tuesday, Catalyst Strategic Solutions will serve up a hot breakfast breakout session titled, “Supporting Growth & Managing Risk for the Years Ahead.” In this two-part session, Brokerage Services Manager Jonathan Jackson will examine the benefits and opportunities of investing in subordinated debt. Senior Advisor Mark Wert will explore why the use of interest rate derivatives is on the rise – and how they can be effective tools for hedging risk.

On Wednesday morning, catch another two-part breakfast session titled “Discovering New Analytics & Strategies for Future Success.” Senior ALM Consultant Christopher Uhl will dive into observations learned from deposit analytics and why examiners like them. Senior Advisor Casey Peterson will speak on strategies that support earnings stability for the years ahead.

General Sessions

Catalyst Strategic Solutions Vice President of Advisory Service Steven Houle returns toSteven_Houle Forum’s main stage with his presentation titled, “Credit Union Trends & Strategic Considerations for 2024.” As the first general session on Tuesday, Houle will provide his popular annual review of the economy and exploration of how credit unions can position their balance sheet to optimize earnings and manage risk for the upcoming year.

Managing Principal Mark DeBree will cover the “Superpowers of Sub Debt,” on Tuesday afternoon. DeBree will focus on the issuance side of subordinated debt and how it can help credit unions meet their strategic goals.
