ACH Advisor – August 25, 2017

by Sandi Altman | Aug 25, 2017

ACH – RDFIs and Receivers: Throughout 2017, the ACH Advisor will contain a six-part series detailing the ACH cycle, with facts, rules, codes, charts and helpful hints for those who process, post, return and balance ACH transactions. At the end of the series, all parts will be available in TranZact as a reference guide for all ACH personnel. Part 4 of the series outlines the roles of Standard Entry and Transaction Codes.

Testing 1-2-3… Same-Day Debits will begin on September 15, 2017. In preparation, Catalyst Corporate successfully completed Same-Day testing with the Federal Reserve Bank on July 26-27. The test included debit and credit stale dated, Same-Day, and future dated items in order to confirm proper Federal Reserve settlement dates.

ACH Origination: Non-IAT debits or credits under $25,000 with stale or current effective dates that are originated and sent to the Federal Reserve by 12:45 p.m. CT will be considered Same-Day items. A 5.2-cent fee per originated item will be assessed by the Federal Reserve.

Keep Your Tokens Up-To-Date: Is your ACH Online token expiring soon? To find out, view either the issue date (month and year) or expiration date (month, day and year) on the back of the token. Tokens are good for up to five years. If you need a replacement or have any questions, please contact the ACH Team.
